Many technologies look promising in a laboratory, a pilot, or an adjacent industry. Mining adoption depends on more: the technology has to solve a real operational problem, fit the mine workflow, be demonstrated credibly in the field, and then mature into a product that can survive, be validated, manufactured, installed, serviced, supported and scaled.
Mining technology teams get stuck on what we call Approval Mountain. Detailed implementation work is performed by your team or by qualified specialists where appropriate. Client-direct contracting with engineering firms, laboratories, manufacturers, installers, service providers and channel partners is the default — so the engagement does not become the critical path, and you are left more capable rather than more dependent.
